About This Journal

The Iraqi Postgraduate Medical Journal (IPMJ), established in 2000, is a quarterly, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed medical journal published in English under the responsibility of the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations. The journal is available in both print and electronic formats and serves as a national and international platform for disseminating high-quality scientific research across a wide range of medical and health-related disciplines.

Publishing Schedule

IPMJ publishes four issues per year on a quarterly basis:

  • First Issue: January–March
  • Second Issue: April–June
  • Third Issue: July–September
  • Fourth Issue: October–December

This schedule ensures regular and timely publication of accepted manuscripts while maintaining editorial and production quality.

Indexing and Archiving

Indexing: IPMJ is abstracted and indexed in:

  • Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals
  • WHO Index Medicus for the Eastern Mediterranean Region (IMEMR)

Digital Archiving: IPMJ ensures long-term preservation and accessibility of published content through CLOCKSS, a community-supported digital preservation archive

DOI Assignment: All published articles receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref
